A friend once reflected, quite insightfully, that it is easy to produce events over and over again in a kind of continuum of clashes, each separated from the world that produced them. What is difficult , and what anarchists have not often done successfully, is to develop a practice of producing an event and then reproducing the conditions that could create a permanent conflict for capital, of unifying means of living and fighting. We believe that the Occupations of 2011 have produced space for these conversations to really occur. Tahrir, Zucotti, Syntagma, Gezi. The contemporary question for insurrectionists and revolutionaries in our times is not a new one: how will it live?

The second is the statement that the creator(s) are willing to risk their freedom to convey this message, much like locking oneself to something symbolically or tangibly unjust, with a sign featuring your message. The difference being that you may get away with graffiti so one can stay free to do it more than just once before being stopped by the legal system; or many people may just not find letting the police arrest them empowering.
